A Minute with Mohsin!

Tell us about yourself?

My name is Mohsin; I was raised in the Southern state of India. I am a camera assistant and PRO.
I’ve been working with Alchemy since, 2006 but have lived in Dubai since 1990! I used to work in a gas station but I’ve always had a deeply rooted fascination with film and video, I applied to work for Alchemy and voila, here I am.

What keeps you motivated and inspired?

Personally, being a part of such an energetic and friendly team is what keeps me going, everyday is an experience!

What interests you?

I am a huge tennis fan; Andrew Agassi is my favourite tennis player and truly a legend within his field.  When I’m not watching tennis I’m probably watching some action film or another!

Tell us something about you that most people don’t know?

I have 10 brothers and sisters! That’s 6 sisters and 4 brothers!  I’m also a pretty big fan of Tom and Jerry; it’s just too funny.

What do you enjoy most about your position within Alchemy?

I really enjoy going to the locations, even the desert ones! Even if they do get kind of hot :)

Just how Epic! is the EPIC?

‘The name is not an overstatement’, the EPIC is capable of shooting RAW Images between three and four times superior than the resolution of HD (High Definition) and over 60% higher resolution images than the original RED-MX, while remaining only slightly larger than your standard SLR! To view the camera, Click Here and go to ‘Gallery’

At an unparalleled 5k Res the EPIC is capable of shooting images up to 120FPS, at 2k 300FPS, and at 720(HD) 360FPS. EPIC is also capable of shooting HDR (High Dynamic Range) Video, a photographic technique combining multiple exposures into a single image. This function is not available in any other camera system in the world! A normal camera can only expose for one area of an image, often leaving other areas under or over exposed. By creating 3 different exposures and combining them, the EPIC can record stunning images that mimic the human eye.
